Superman - Henry Cavill
Look up in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, its Superman...
Inspired by Batman versus Superman: Dawn of Justice, I decided to illustrate a portrait of Superman (Henry Cavill). Using my Wacom Ciniq Companion 2 and Adobe Illustrator, I began to work on the design.
I found a photo to base the illustration on. Also I decided that I would only illustrate his face, cape and the famous crest. Using a sunset for the background seemed like an intriguing alternative and would create a dynamic look.
So up up and away..... I present the Man of Steele.
