Geisha
I was inspired to create an illustration based on a geisha. So I began creating the graphic in Adobe Illustrator. This began with the line art and then testing colors. Then I moved on to creating a pattern for the kimono. Next I started give her kimono a little shading, but not too much as I wanted to keep it very simple. Finally, I took a photo of the Cherry Blossom trees at a park in Bonn that I had taken. In fact, you might recognize the photo, because I also used it when creating a project entitled Low Poly Roo.

I decided I wanted to imagine what the illustration would look like on the side of a very plain yet modern building. The mock-up looks really nice and I think it could be an amazing mural.
