Book Of Fame Chapter 1

The Book Of Fame is a project that I started to explore various styles of illustration and to delve more into the study of creating copy by exploring the quotes of notable people.

THE ILLUSTRATIONS...
The idea was to create a book where I could try out different styles of illustration by sketching various historic figures, musicians, artists, writers, etc.  I give myself up to five minutes to complete the initial sketch of each person I illustrate in the book.  This allows me to create a basic image that I can then add some color to.

THE QUOTES...
One of the best ways to study how to write is by reading the well known authors.  However, another way is to delve into the world of quotations.  Notable people throughout history have said some brilliant and even sometimes hilarious things.  By reviewing the quotes of well known people one can breather a little inspiration into the copy that they write.  Thus, for this project it is important to find those figures who have several notable quotations.

THE BOOK...
Each chapter will consist of twenty illustrations and will be of various people who have had some sort of impact in their life's work.  I do have a list of people that I want to include in the book, however I am not limiting myself to this list.  The book follows how I feel at the moment that I want to create an image.  Thus, every flip of the page will lead to a person who is notable for a different reason.
