Adobe Abendschule: Lumberjack Larry
I was invited by Adobe to create two workshops. One of those workshops was for Adobe Character Animator. This workshop was created in German and was 2 1/2 hours in length.
For this workshop, I also created virtual puppet using Adobe Illustrator that viewers could download and experiment with. This character was aptly named Lumberjack Larry.
I during the process I shared the character with Adobe's Dave Werner and also mentioned all of his resources for Character Animator.
During the creation process, I streamed part of it live on Behance.
You can still watch the video through the Adobe Abendschule by clicking HERE.
It was an honor being part of this Adobe initiative.

This is the final version of Lumberjack Larry that was used for the Adobe Abendschule. I had to create several assets.
To be honest I prefer using Adobe Illustrator to create puppets for Character Animator. Plus it is easy to recolor things quickly in Illustrator.

This is the original sketch for the character design of Lumberjack Larry. I simply do a few variations in a sketchbook and this was the final illustration that I chose for the project.

Building Lumberjack Larry in Adobe Illustrator was quite fun. Here you can see how I organized the various colors used in the project.

This is a screen capture from the actual Adobe Abendschule program.

I created the content for the Abendschule in similiar way as I do for my YouTube channel except in German of course.

Here you can see how I explained rigging the character in Adobe Character Animator.
